Unfortunately, as I've already said, the options on the beach are not worth calling home. Drinks are overpriced and mostly fast food. You can decide to bring your own food, or I personally recommend walking to Kalomirakis Tavern (about 20 minutes or 5 minutes by car). You will get a truly Greek experience at a reasonable price.
Why it's a pink beach
The quick answer is that the sand is actually mixed with millions of tiny fragments of pink shells that have been broken up by the waves over the years. I still remember a similar color on another beach I found in Indonesia, 1000 km east of Bali. Pink for the exact same reason. Small world, isn't it?

Toilette: There's one behind the tavern. It's as clean as it gets, and there are so many people around who use it. Entrance is charged.
